What are Bruder models made of?
You know what your children play with.
The ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic from which Bruder models are made is a material renowned for its extreme mechanical resistance and toughness. It is resistant to mechanical damage and also tolerates high and very low temperatures well, so these toys are suitable for home and outdoors and won't hurt it even if you forget it in the sandbox over the winter. For us as owners of ABS plastic toys, the most important features are impact resistance, structural robustness and light weight. This material is resistant to acids, alkalis, oils and grease.
Health-safe.
These features are associated with absolute health safety. Most of us have already come into contact with ABS plastic when playing with LEGO. The blocks of this famous building set are made of this plastic. Other interesting products and fields in which it is used include kitchen utensils, medical supplies, computer keyboards. It is also used in the furniture industry and as a material for 3D printers. The use in these fields already indicates that toys made from this material do not have any negative effects on health, as is the case with some cheap Asian imitations.Bruder toys have been made from this plastic in Germany for many years, for children as young as two years old. ABS plastic is stable and does not release harmful substances into food, water or the mouths of young children, who primarily explore the toys through their mouths during play. As children get older, it is advisable to have as much information as possible about the toys when choosing them (where they come from, what they are made of...). In the case of Bruder models, we can only recommend them because they are thoroughly checked for safety and quality in Germany. Therefore, beware of cheap plastic imitations from China, which are tempting in price, but unfortunately the price corresponds to poor quality and have nothing to do with ABS plastic.
Finally, the fact that this material is recyclable, so you save the environment.
